Who Summer Strong Is Actually For (and Who It's Not)

Every time we open up a new program, the same question comes up in some form. Am I the right fit for this, or am I going to show up and be the person who can't keep up?

I t's a fair question. Nobody wants to spend money to feel singled out. So let's clear this up before Summer Strong starts, because the answer might surprise you.

This is for you if you have Parkinson's and you're upright and moving

That's a low bar on purpose. We're not looking for a certain stage, a certain age, or a certain fitness level walking in the door. Summer Strong was built for people with Parkinson's who can get up, get around, and want to build real strength and stability over six weeks. That includes individuals who were just diagnosed and have no idea where to start. That includes individuals who have been managing this for years and are tired of generic advice. That includes individuals who consider themselves "not very active" right now and people who already walk every day but want more structure behind it.

If you're wondering whether you're too new to this, too out of shape, or too far into your diagnosis, the answer is almost always that you're exactly who this is for. We built the program to scale with where you are, not the other way around.

This might not be the right fit if you have significant other medical complexity

Here's the part we want to be upfront about. Summer Strong is a small group program, which means we can't individualize the way we would in one-on-one care. If you're managing Parkinson's alongside something else that significantly changes how your body should move or how hard it's safe to push, like a recent cardiac event, an unrelated orthopedic surgery that hasn't healed, or another condition that needs its own close monitoring, a group program isn't the safest way to get the support you need right now.

That's not us turning you away. That's us being honest about what a group setting can and can't do well. If that's you, we'd still love to talk. One-on-one care exists for exactly this reason, and we can figure out together what makes sense.

What we're actually asking you to bring

Not a certain fitness level. Not a perfect diagnosis. Just a willingness to show up for six weeks and do the work in a format built specifically for a Parkinson's body, with people who get it without you having to explain it.

That's the whole bar. If you've been on the fence wondering if this is "for someone like you," we wrote this so you'd stop wondering.

Fourteen spots left. Enrollment closes July 11. If you've got questions about whether Summer Strong fits your specific situation, that's exactly what a quick call is for. We'd rather answer it directly than have you guess.
